Gift Block is not appearing on checkout

A short checklist of what must be true for the checkout gift block to show, in the order to check it.

The checkout gift block shows at checkout when each item below is true. Check them in this order.

  • Your business is on Shopify Plus, a Shopify plan, not a Wrapped plan, or is a Shopify Partner development store. Other Shopify plans cannot add apps to checkout and use the storefront gift blocks instead.

  • Your business uses Shopify Checkout. Third-party checkouts cannot show app blocks.

  • The gift option is Active, not Draft, in its Status section.

  • Add to the checkout page is on under Checkout in the Gift blocks section. On plans other than Shopify Plus, the switch is grayed out.

  • The gift block is placed in Shopify's checkout editor. In the Gift blocks section, press the menu beside Checkout, and then Add gift block to checkout profile. Press Customize on your configuration, press Add block where you want it, choose Gifting for Products or Gifting for Orders, and then press Save.

  • The gift product is Active or Unlisted in Shopify, not Draft or Archived.

  • The gift product is published to the Online Store sales channel, and to your Headless channel if you sell headless. If not, press Publish gift product in the gift option settings.

  • The gift product has inventory, or continues selling when out of stock.

  • The gift product is available in the shopper's market. If not, the checkout gift block reads Gifting not available in your region, unless Hide when the gift product is unavailable in the customer's market is on.

  • No Gift block visibility rule leaves the product out by tag, product, or collection.
