You can make the gift product cheaper or free once a cart reaches a subtotal or an item quantity. Shopify takes the discount off the gift product automatically, so customers have no code to enter.
For example, you can take 50% off gift wrap when the cart subtotal reaches $50, and make it free at $100.
Where to find it
In Wrapped, open Gifting for Orders or Gifting for Products.
On the Gift product card, press Settings on the Discount row.
Turn on the Discount switch.
Enter a Discount name.
Set your Tiers.
Optional: Choose what the discount Applies to, and add Customer tags.
Press Save.

Turn the discount on or off
While the Discount switch is off, the settings are greyed out and no discount runs. Turn the switch off and press Save to stop the discount. Your name, tiers, and conditions stay saved for when you turn it back on.

Discount name
Customers see the discount name on the gift product at checkout. It is also the discount’s title on the Discounts page in your Shopify admin.
Tiers
Each tier is a percentage off the gift product and the point where it starts. Use 100% to make the gift product free.
You can add up to 3 tiers. Press Add tier to add one, and press the bin icon, Remove tier, to remove one. Each tier must start higher than the tier above it.
When a cart reaches more than one tier, the highest tier it reaches applies. With 50% off at $50 and 100% off at $100, a $70 cart gets the gift at half price, and a $120 cart gets it free.
Where a tier starts depends on the gift option:
Gifting for Orders uses Cart subtotal reaches, the total of the items in the cart. The gift product is not counted.
Gifting for Products uses Item quantity at least, the quantity of the item the gift is added to. Each gift is checked against its own item. With 50% off at 3 items, a gift on an item with a quantity of 3 is half price, and a gift on an item with a quantity of 1 is full price.

Applies to
Applies to sets which items in the cart count toward your tiers. The discount itself always comes off the gift product.
All items: Every item in the cart counts.
Collections: Only items in the collections you pick count. Press Add collections to pick them.
Products: Only the products you pick count. Press Add products to pick products, or some of their variants.
For Gifting for Orders, only the items that count add up to the cart subtotal. For Gifting for Products, a gift is discounted only when the item it is added to counts.
Customer tags
Add Customer tags to offer the discount only to customers with any of these tags. Type a tag, and then type a comma or press Enter to add it. Each tag shows as a chip, and the × on a chip removes it.
Customers need to be signed in to their account for their tags to count. Leave the field empty to offer the discount to all customers.

How often it is used
Once customers use the discount, the Discount row shows a usage line, such as “Used on 12 orders · $84 off”. It counts the orders where the discount came off the gift product, and the total amount it took off.
From your Shopify admin
The discount also shows on the Discounts page in your Shopify admin. Pressing it there opens its gift option page in Wrapped, where you change it from the Discount row.
Important notes
The discount combines with your other product, order, and shipping discounts.
The discount only works while the gift option is active and the gift product is published to the Online Store. A banner in the Discount settings tells you when one of them is not.
If the Discount settings show “This account cannot manage discounts”, your staff account needs the Marketing permission. Ask the store owner to add it.
Recap
Press Settings on the Discount row of the Gift product card, turn the switch on, and press Save.
