Set the space around and inside a gift block

Set the space around a gift block and the space inside it, for all sides or one side at a time, so the gift block lines up with the rest of the page.

You can set the space around and inside each gift block in Wrapped, so it lines up with the rest of the page. Run a gift block edge to edge with your cart lines, or give it more room around it.

Where to find it

  1. In Wrapped, open Gifting for Products or Gifting for Orders.

  2. On the Gifting editor card, press Open editor.

  3. Under Gift blocks, press Product page, Cart drawer, or Cart page. The panel for that gift block opens, such as Cart drawer block.

  4. Under Settings for this gift block, find Space around (margin) and Space inside (padding).

Space around and space inside

Space around (margin) sets the gap between the gift block and what is above, below, left, and right of it on the page.

Space inside (padding) sets the gap between the gift block’s edge and its contents. On a gift block that opens Inline, it applies to the launcher row, the gift choices, the message fields, and the buttons together, so they stay lined up. On a gift block that opens as a Dialog, it applies to the launcher button. The window that opens keeps the spacing set in Appearance, under Spacing.

The preview on the left follows every change at once. Press Save at the top right to show the change in your online store.

One value or one per side

Each group has three buttons at the right of its title. The button you press sets which rows show under the title:

  • All sides shows one row, All sides. A value there sets all four sides.

  • Vertical and horizontal shows two rows, Vertical and Horizontal. Vertical sets the top and bottom, and Horizontal sets the left and right.

  • Each side shows four rows, Top, Bottom, Left, and Right.

Pressing a button only changes which rows show. It does not change a value.

Each row has a number field and a unit menu. The unit is em or px for Space around, and px or em for Space inside.

A row left on Default uses the spacing set in Appearance, so the gift block matches your preset until you type a value. A value you type applies to this gift block only. The other gift blocks keep their own spacing.

Line up a gift block with your cart

In this example, the cart drawer gift block opens Inline. You remove the space on its left and right, so its contents line up with the cart’s own lines.

  1. Under Gift blocks, press Cart drawer.

  2. Under Space inside (padding), press Each side.

  3. Type “0” in Left, and then type “0” in Right. Leave Top and Bottom on Default.

  4. Press Save.

The launcher, the gift choices, the message fields, and the buttons now run edge to edge with the cart’s own lines.

Recap

  • Each gift block has its own Space around (margin) and Space inside (padding) under Settings for this gift block.

  • Space around sets the gap outside the gift block. Space inside sets the gap between its edge and its contents.

  • All sides, Vertical and horizontal, and Each side change which rows show, never the values.

  • A row left on Default uses the spacing set in Appearance.
