You can choose how many gifts a cart gets with Gifting for Orders. Each gift is charged at the price of the gift variant the customer chooses, so the rule you pick sets what customers pay for gifting when the cart holds more than one item.
Where to find it
From your Shopify admin, go to Apps, and then open Wrapped.
Open Gifting for Orders.
On the Gift product card, press Settings in the Pricing rules row.
Choose a rule from Gift quantity, and then press Save.
The Pricing rules row shows the rule in use and opens the Pricing rules settings
The row shows the rule in use, such as Each cart gets one gift. A new gift product starts on 1 per cart.
See the result before you save
When you choose a rule, the Pricing rules settings show a sample cart beside a short explanation. The sketch shows how many gifts that cart adds with the rule, so you can compare rules before you press Save.
Gift quantity set to 1 per cart: the sample cart adds 1 gift
The sample cart holds 3 line items: 2 shirts, 1 more of the same shirt with a personalization, and 2 mugs. That is 5 items and 2 variants.
How each rule counts gifts
1 per item
Each item in the cart gets its own gift. The gift quantity matches the item quantity, so a line item with a quantity of 2 adds 2 gifts. The sample cart adds 5 gifts.
1 per item: 5 items add 5 gifts
1 per line item
Each line item gets one gift, whatever its quantity. The sample cart adds 3 gifts. The same variant can sit on 2 line items when the lines carry different details, such as a personalization, and then each line gets a gift.
1 per line item: 3 line items add 3 gifts
1 per variant
Each variant in the cart gets one gift. Line items with the same variant share one gift, so the 2 shirt lines add 1 gift between them. The sample cart adds 2 gifts.
1 per variant: 2 variants add 2 gifts
1 per cart
Each cart gets one gift. The number of items does not change the count. The sample cart adds 1 gift.
1 per cart: the whole cart adds 1 gift
Customers choose
Customers set the gift quantity in the cart. The gift is added at a quantity of 1, and customers change it with the quantity control on the gift’s line in the cart.

Gift boxes
Choose 1 box per item limit or 1 box per weight limit when one gift is a box that holds only so much. Items share boxes, up to each box’s limit. Instead of the sketch, the Pricing rules settings show your gift variants, each with its own limit field: items for 1 box per item limit, and a weight with a unit for 1 box per weight limit. With more than 3 gift variants, a Filter gift variants field shows above the list.
1 box per item limit: each gift variant has its own item limit
To learn how the number of boxes is worked out, see Charge for gift boxes by item count or weight.
Items that are not counted
Under each explanation, the Pricing rules settings read Excluded items are not counted. Excluded items are products that your gift block visibility rules hide gift options on. No rule counts them, and no rule counts the gift product itself. To set which products show gift options, see Choose which products show gift blocks.
Bundle with items
With Bundle with items turned on, the gift shows as one bundled line in the cart. The rule still sets how many gifts that line holds.
Gifting for Products
Gifting for Products has no rule to choose. The Pricing rules row reads Matches the parent item quantity: a customer who buys 2 of a product with a gift gets 2 gifts.
Gifting for Products: the gift quantity matches the item it is added to
