You can add a summary of the gift to the order note: which items are gifts, and the gift message, sender and receiver that the customer entered. The summary displays in the Notes section of the order in your Shopify admin, so your team can view the gift details without opening Wrapped.
Turn on the gift summary
From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Wrapped, and then open Gifting for Products or Gifting for Orders.
In the Automations section, turn on Add a gift summary to the order note.
Press Save.
When the summary is added
The summary is added as soon as possible after the customer places the order, usually within 1–2 minutes. If a fulfillment service or warehouse system reads your orders, allow 1–2 minutes after the order is placed so the summary is on the order first. Orders that don't contain a gift aren't updated.
What the summary contains
For each gift item, the summary lists the product, quantity, SKU, and the gift details that the customer entered, such as the gift message, sender and receiver. For Gifting for Orders, the summary lists the gift details for the whole order.
A gift summary in the order note
The summary is placed between two — Wrapped Gifting Attributes — lines. Any note that's already on the order, such as a note that the customer added at checkout, is kept. When Wrapped updates the summary, only the text between its two lines changes.
The customer's checkout note is kept above the summary
Recap
Turn on Add a gift summary to the order note in the Automations section, and then press Save.
The summary is added to each new gift order, usually within 1–2 minutes.
Notes that are already on the order are kept.
Considerations
Only orders that are placed after you save the setting get a summary. Existing orders aren't updated.
Gifting for Products and Gifting for Orders each have their own switch.
The gift details are always saved on the order and its line items, even when this switch is off. The summary makes them easier to read.
