You can see the gift details your customers choose on each gift order in your Shopify admin. You can also name each gifting attribute so your team or fulfillment partner knows what it means at a glance.
Where to find it
In Wrapped, open Gifting for Products or Gifting for Orders. Each has its own Gifting attributes card.
Scroll to the Gifting attributes card.
Change a name, and then press Save.
What lands on the order
Gifting attributes are added as the customer adds gift options to their purchase, so they are on the order the moment it’s created in your Shopify admin. Your team, fulfillment partner or warehouse can read them right away.
With Gifting for Products, the attributes sit under the gifted product in the order.

With Gifting for Orders, the attributes sit in the order’s Additional details. When the gift option has a gift product, the gift product also shows the gift message, sender and receiver.

Name your gifting attributes
The Gifting attributes card has a field for each name you can change: Gift flag, Gift message, Sender, Receiver and Gift option. Each field shows its default name as an example. A name is 3 to 30 characters and different from the other names.
Gift option ID and Bundle are system attributes. System attributes keep their names.
New names apply to orders placed after you press Save. Orders placed before keep the names they have.
Hide an attribute from customers
A name that starts with an underscore (_) hides the attribute from your customers. Online Store 2.0 themes and checkout don’t show these attributes, and the order in your Shopify admin still shows them. That’s why Gift option ID and Bundle start with an underscore. For example, rename Gift flag to _Gifting and your customers no longer see it in the cart or at checkout.
